Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Shabo Constructions Inc. ("Shabo Construction", "we") collects, uses and protects personal information through shaboconstruction.ca. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Information you send us through our estimate and contact forms: your name, email, phone number, project location, project details, timing, budget range if you choose to share it, and any photos you attach.
• Technical information needed to run and protect the site, such as your IP address (used briefly for spam and abuse prevention), browser type and the page you submitted a form from.
• Analytics information, only if you allow analytics cookies: pages visited and how the site is used, collected through Google Analytics.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry, prepare an estimate and carry out work you ask us to do.
• To keep a record of inquiries and projects.
• To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse.
• With your consent, to understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business — for example our website host, email delivery provider, Google (reCAPTCHA spam protection and, if you consent, Google Analytics) — and only as needed for those purposes. These providers may store information outside Canada.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept for up to two years from your last contact unless you become a client, in which case project records are kept as long as needed for warranty, legal and accounting purposes.

How we protect it

Form submissions are stored in a restricted area of our website that only authorised staff can access. Photos you attach are stored in a private location that is not publicly reachable. Spam-prevention data is stored only temporarily and in a hashed form.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. You can change your cookie choices at any time using "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.
